			The Euro-Mediterranean Concert for the Dialogue among Cultures

			This event is part of the initiatives of the Fondazione Laboratorio Mediterraneo – Maison de la Méditerranée and the press agency Ansamed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership. 2005 has been designated as being the “Year of the Mediterranean” by the Council of Europe on 16th December. Directed by Maestro Eugenio Bennato the “First Euro- Mediterranean Concert for the Dialogue among Cultures has seen the participation of many artists from different Euro-Mediterranean countries, such as the group Taranta Power, the Egyptian artist Fathi Salama, the Algerian artist Hasna el Becharia, the Director of Orchestra of the Cairo Opera house Nayer Nagui, the Orchestra Tito Schipa di Lecce and the Cairo Opera house. The first concert will take place like a big “Caravan of Dialogue” in the different Euro-Mediterranean cities.
