2005, the Mediterranean year |

The ministers of foreign affairs of the Euro-Mediterranean partnership agreed that 2005 will be the Mediterranean year.
In a meeting held in The Hague on 29th and 30th November 2004, the ministers of the countries which participate in the Euro-Mediterranean dialogue made this decision within the framework of the preparations for the commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the Barcelona Process.

The Fondazione Laboratorio Mediterraneo – Maison de la Méditerranée has programmed and completed, in collaboration with ANSAmed and several other institutions and organisations of the Euro-Mediterranean area, many activities which promote the year 2005 as the Year of the Mediterranean and the Decennial of the Barcelona Process.
